Blaak 40 is an office building of approximately 7,784 sqm spread over 6 floors. The building of the former Amsterdamsche Bank – Incasso Bank was designed by the reconstruction architect Kraaijvanger. The building was rebuilt in 1999 by the Kraaijvanger Urbis architectural office, with a drastic change in the interior. A few monumental elements such as the tower with the stairwell, a few meeting rooms and safes have been preserved.
The listed office building is very recognizable and centrally located in the Wijnhavenkwartier. The shopping heart of Rotterdam (Beursplein, Lijnbaan) is within walking distance and on the other side Blaak station and Markthal / Oude Haven are on walking distance.
The building is easily accessible by car from the Rotterdam ring road, with connections to Rotterdam-The Hague Airport, The Hague, Utrecht and Antwerp. The office building is easily accessible by public transport. The Blaak train station is within walking distance and the tram, bus and metro stops are directly in front of the office building.
